Science Content Institutes
Moving grade levels as a teacher or changing content with new standards can be difficult work. Not only is it important for teachers to develop a depth of content knowledge, it is also important for teachers to understand how to teach that specific type of content in ways that will support student learning.Content Institutes provide teachers with an opportunity to dig into science content, consider the best approaches for teaching the specific content, become familiar with common misconceptions, and consider a specific component of disciplinary literacy within science. This summer, we are offering several 2-day and 3-day content institutes for teachers.Â
